Texas Wildflower Berry

My favorite season in Texas is Springtime. Granted there are mostly only 2 seasons in Texas, freezing and Hot, but in a brief window there is Spring. That is when the wildflowers bloom and boy, do they put on a show! From the Indian Paintbrush,  Mexican Hats,  and Indian Blankets, to the Evening Primrose, but my favorites are the Bluebonnets. Also known as Lupinus Texenis, they are found in other states, but my favorite spot is Texas. There are festivals, and drives one can take just to see the bluebonnets and yes, I’ve done a few but I’m sure there are still more to explore.   Stepping into the world of design I wanted  my first design to be something extra special which is why I created this. Bringing 2 special elements together, Texas Wildflowers and a berry. There are numerous finishing tutorials out there  for great finishing directions so I won’t burden you with mine. I just hope you enjoy stitching this as much as I did. And if you ever have an opportunity, visit Texas in the springtime to enjoy the wildflowers.

Model was stitched on Chantilly  36 count  by Colour and Cotton

Stitched 1strand over 2 threads using the called for threads.

  1. I purchased this chart from my LNS. I love the design, and wildflowers. I live in Texas so this is one berry I’m very excited about making.

However I need to give you some feedback…….the chart is very very small and hard to read. I took it to my local copy place to make an enlarged working copy…… it is still difficult to read. I hope this feedback will encourage you to enlarge your chart so that it can be easily read.
Thank you for your consideration. Sandi

    1. Thank you for the feedback. These were my first patterns and I’ve learned quite a lot. I’m working on making them easier to read.
